What's the biggest threat to our survival?
 

I know I'm asking a loaded question, but what do you think is the single biggest threat to our (U.S. & Canada population) survival as of today? War? Disease? Crime? Stavation? Economic? Other? (You name it.)

One may lead to the other, but what do you think we have to be most concern about or what most likely to come first?

The biggest threat to ones survival is being stupid, ugly, and poor.

Combination of any two of the three will greatly limit one's ability to procreate. Survival of your genes is much more important than your individual survival from the gene's point of view. Genes are absolute capitalists

In general I have come to believe wholeheartedly that the decay of our borders, language and culture will undue our civilization and that is the greatest threat to our survival.

More philosophically I believe the destruction of freedom presents the greatest threat as nearly all wars are fought either by those seeking to regain their freedom or those seeking to usurp power from others. For there to be peace and stability there absolutely must be freedom. The more I understand about the way the world works the more I recognize certain key events do the most dammage to freedom. Sukhoi Fan inadvertently or maybe just coincidentally opened my eyes to all the dammage moving away from gold and silver backed money has done, as it forced/enabled the states to incorporate to accept fiat for tender of public and private debts and in the process turned us into legal fictions. Honest money has far reaching implications. On a related note the attack on privately owned lands has devestating consequences, imminent domain and property taxes make it almost impossible to just *live* on lands you own outright and instead turn your life into a game of finding ways to avoid the brute squad by paying protection fees. Loss of freedom and individual sovereignty will destroy all nations and prevent sustainable peace.

:D Stupid,moronic politicians who created every problem we now have.

Can't think of any threat to humanity that wasn't directly or indirectly created by a politician or insane power tripping ruler.

Even global warming and Peak oil are the result of environmental negligence,greed,ignorance and political power mongering for profit to line some politicians pocket and his/her friends.

The politicians will destroy us long before natural disasters or disease ever get a swing at us.

Biological threats and nuclear weapons stemming from military research.........all funded and created by politicial concensus.

As a species I'd say its a toss up between global warming and nukes.

As an individual its looking like the economy or disease is my big threat.
